Character Design for Animation
Spanish Armada uniform has been recorded to look like this:
They would wear a big triangle shaped Black hat with a big blue blazer, red waist coat with blue trousers tucked into their knee length white socks and block shoes on. There fashion also consisted of side burns and cleanly shaven beard with average size hair. i need to keep this in mind when designing my characters look.

Sound for my Animation
The sound of my animation is also going to based around the theories of Quentin Tarantino. For the music that will be played thought the animation in the background i will play a song called “Bella Ciao” which originally is a Spanish war song that was remastered by the tv shoe “Money Heist” it is very dark in lyrics however has a very upbeat feel to it. The song is quite haunting however Spanish people use it almost as an anthem.
I will use the originally more dull version of the song at the beginning when the animation is slow but as the fight scene starts and the animation speeds up i will fade in the more modern remastered version that is much more upbeat. This will give a very unique effect in which although all these killings and bad stuff is going on you are distracted by the music this is used really well in Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained scene in which Django kills a group of men and as he walks of it has an upbeat song.
The sound effects used in my animation will be from youtube and i will use youtube mp3 to export the sounds put them onto logic so i can EQ them and edit them to make them my own. The sounds i will need is; sizzling form a fire, shooting from a canyon, screaming, shouting and splashing from water.
Fonts for my animation
The font i am using for my animation is Aachen Bold. This is the same font that is used in all Quentin Tarantino movies and i think it fits the theme of my animation really well.
I will be using this font in many scenes of my animation. For example, at the very beginning of My animation it gives a quick backstory of the place, time and date of where the animation is starting. later on in the animation you skip to the evening the time will come up and the location comes up as the Spanish Armada are drifted out to the north sea.
this font works really well because of the contrasting and bright colours used which make no sense to the theme of the movies. Quentin Tarantino often is very unorthodox with his films and does things that don’t really make sense like in his choice of fonts and music. he chooses to use bright and bubbly fonts with up beat music yet the film is supposed to be very dark and is filmed in a dark way. this often intrigues the watcher and i would like to use this method in my animation taking a dark theme and adding music and dark comedy to intrigue the watcher.

How do designers use story to enhance the player experience?
Red Dead Redemption
Red Dead Redemption focuses on there story mainly to keep the player interested. If the story isn’t exciting or enhancing then the game would do poorly. So in order to make the story enhancing they add different scenarios depending on what the player chooses to do. if the player decided to talk to someone then that will ultimately end the outcome to the game and what happens in the story. This means that each person has a different version of how the game is, which means you can play the game multiple times and not get bored. This works really well on keeping the audience entertained as you can change everything from having his hair grown out or being shaved to weather you kill someone of let them go free. Rockstar creations use this idea in a few of there games for example GTA also uses this in their story mode. the ending and the way the story pans out depends on how you approach the characters and the decision you make when playing with the characters.

Friends ; everyone in the the Van der Linde gang are his friends he lives with them and does everything for and with them. However, his respect and friendship with Dutch Vand der Linde changes throughout the story as they become enemies.

Enemies ; The O’Driscoll gang where Arthurs enemies at the beginning but as the game progressed Arthurs best mate and Gang leader Dutch Van Der Linde became his biggest enemy who ends up leaving Arthur to die after they fight.

Spanish Armada Tactics
The English sent in fireships , so the Armada cut their anchors to escape. On 28 July, the English attacked the Spanish fleet at the Battle of Gravelines. The English ships were easier to manoeuvre in the heavy waters of the North Sea. This decisive battle prevented the Spanish from landing in England. The most important reason the Spanish Armada failed was because the English had better leadership than the Spanish. Moreover, when Medina Sidonia had a chance to attack the trapped English fleet at Plymouth Harbour, he instead sailed past. As a result, he missed an opportunity to easily defeat the English fleet.As as well as food supplies being poor, the quality of weapons being used were also poor. In addition to this, the Spanish also suffered from poor communication between Spanish commanders and poor planning in the run up to the Armada.
